Did you know: 
- The surface of the Jade Cork mat is harvested sustainably from cork trees in Portugal. Trees are not cut down, but after the tree is 25 years old, the bark of the tree is removed. This is repeated every 9 years, with the bark regenerating in the interim - absorbing additional CO2 during this process.
- Store your yoga mat in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
- Rotate your mat and use different areas to prevent wear and tear due to repetitive moves at the same location on your mat.
- Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures like a hot car or a cold garage.

Care instructions:
Wipe your mat down with a damp cloth (only water!) on a weekly basis. If you have a vigorous practice, do so after each use. Cork mats can be washed with soap and water then rinsed with water. Hang inside to dry. 

DO NOT use Jade mats outside or leave the mat to dry outside. Sun or UV light can damage natural rubber. NEVER use alcohol, essential oils, soap, detergents or other cleaning agents on your Jade mat. NEVER place the mat in a washing machine or in a dryer. 

Smell of natural rubber:
JadeYoga mats are made of natural rubber which carry their own typical smell. This odour is completely harmless and fades over time. Air the mat regularly to speed up the process. 
However, a certain residual odour will remain and will be perceived differently by each person. Generally, the smell is not a production error or defect and is therefore not covered by the warranty. 

Latex info:
Although Jade mats are 99% latex free, as they are from rubber trees, there may be trace amounts of latex proteins in the mats so we recommend persons with latex allergies avoid contact with our mats.
